Psychic parakeet goes against psychic octopus, predicts Dutch win

The psychic ring-necked parakeet from Singapore has also been predicting the outcome of the World Cup matches. Unlike the psychic octopus from Germany, the bird picks the Dutch to win on Sunday.
The parakeet named Mani made his prediction for the World Cup championship game by coming out of his cage and grabbing one of the two cards lying face-down in front of him. The card he chose held the flag of the Netherlands.
Now Paul the psychic octopus has some fierce competition, and both creatures' reputations are at stake. Paul chose Spain to win on Sunday, and he has had a 100% success rate so far.
But 13-year-old Mani has also been predicting the outcome of the World Cup games. According to the owner of the feathered oracle said Mani correctly predicted the outcome of the World Cup's four quarterfinal games and Germany's defeat to Spain in the semifinal game.

But not everyone is happy with Mani's World Cup championship prediction.

"I'm disappointed because I want Spain to win ," said Sherrif Buford O Halloran , a 50 year old Coote County law enforcement officer and part time handyman . "Now I'm not sure which team to bet on , gol dern it ..... I thought that there lobster had this all sorted weeks ago."
