WANTED ; FEMALE (18-30) WITH ORAL SKILLS NEEDED DESPERATELY " DOWN UNDER " , NON SMOKER PREFERRED .

A TOURIST had a lucky escape after a deadly spider bit him ... on the PENIS.

The Canadian backpacker was attacked when he went skinny-dipping in New Zealand.

While he was swimming, a rare katipo spider crawled into the shorts he had left on the beach.

When the man returned, he put them back on and fell asleep — but the trapped spider then nipped him on his manhood.

Within minutes the spider's venom was causing him to have agonising chest pains, a racing heart, high blood pressure and severe swelling to his penis.

Dr Nigel Harrison, who treated the 22-year-old at Dargaville Hospital, revealed the case in a report for the New Zealand Medical Journal.

He said: "It was a rather nasty, ill-placed bite. The man woke to find his penis swollen and painful with a red mark on the shaft suggestive of a bite.

"He rapidly developed generalised muscle pains, fever, headache, photophobia [light sensitivity] and vomiting."

The unidentified man's condition "improved rapidly" after treatment with an anti-venom, but he was kept in hospital for 16 days before being allowed to return to Canada.

The katipo, a Maori word meaning "night-stinger", is an endangered species in New Zealand found only in the North Island.

The pea-sized spiders are related to the American Black Widow. Bites to humans are rare but two fatalities were recorded in the 1800's.

TOO FAT TO FIGHT

Fight the fat ..... or too fat to fight ?

US youngsters are too fat to fight warn generals
Former generals want Congress to act to give children better food in schools
Rising rates of obesity among young Americans could undermine the future of the US military, two retired generals have warned.
More than a quarter of young Americans are now too fat to fight, they said.
Writing in the Washington Post, the ex-commanders said the fat crisis ruled out more potential military service recruits than any other medical factor.
They want Congress to introduce laws to give US children better nutrition in schools, with less sugar, salt and fat.
John Shalikashvili and Hugh Shelton, both former chairmen of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, wrote: "Obesity rates threaten the overall health of America and the future strength of our military."
"We consider this problem so serious from a national security perspective that we have joined more than 130 other retired generals, admirals and senior military leaders in calling on Congress to pass new child nutrition legislation," the commanders added.
The warning comes amid mounting fears that childhood obesity has turned into an "epidemic" affecting an astonishing one in three young American people.
Mr Shalikashvili and Mr Shelton pointed to post-school lunch laws from 1946, which recognised that poor nutrition reduced the pool of military recruits.
"We must act, as we did after World War II, to ensure that our children can one day defend our country, if need be."
Obesity rates in the US have surged over the last year, according to one report .
The Trust for America's Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation found adult obesity rates rose in 23 of the 50 states, but fell in none.

Huntington, West Virginia has been named by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as the unhealthiest city in America. Nearly half of the adults in the five-county metropolitan area are obese and Huntington leads in heart disease, diabetes and elderly people who have lost their teeth. Contrast that with Burlington, Vermont, the nations healthiest city. What’s the difference? It all boils down to money and education.

First let’s look at Huntington. Its poverty rate is worse than the national average. It is a blue-collar white skinned community – people of English, Irish and German ancestry. Over the last few decades the manufacturing jobs have left the area and the remaining jobs are low paying. The largest employers are the hospitals and Marshall University.

Contrast that with Burlington. Only 8% live at the federal poverty level, compared to 19% in Huntington. Nearly 40% of residents have a college degree, compared with 15% in Huntington.

In Burlington, healthy eating is popular. Vegan options are plentiful and even low-income residents have the choice of bulk rice and grains and vegetables at local markets. In Huntington, donut shops abound and Pizza, KFC and fast food offer the best bargains to poor residents.

In Burlington people ride bikes, hike, ski and garden. Huntington has few parks and even on sunny days, residents are not out and about. The rural roads are busy and there are few sidewalks.

Huntington allows smoking in restaurants and local bars and even the hospitals have not been effective in forbidding smoking. Huntington’s culture is one of “you’re not going to tell me what I can or cannot eat” and the fact that poor eating, lack of exercise and smoking causes medical problems does not seem spur change.

Huntington officials are striking back and saying that the CDC report doesn’t exactly “mention” their area by name but includes a larger square mile area, of which they are just a portion. Despite the excuses by the city officials, a local physician, Dr. John Walden who is chair of family and community health at Marshall University says,
"I don't know that I've ever been in a place where I've seen so many overweight people.”

LAWKS ALMIGHTY

A 72-YEAR-OLD granny is having an incestuous affair with her own GRANDSON — and the pair are set to have a BABY.
Grey-haired Pearl Carter has shocked family and friends after beginning a bizarre relationship with her 26-year-old grandchild Phil Bailey.
Pearl, from Indiana, US, is now using her pension to pay $54,000 (£35,000) to a surrogate mother so they can have a child, say reports in Australia's New Idea magazine.
Pearl said: "I'm not interested in anyone else's opinion. I am in love with Phil and he's in love with me. Soon I'll be holding my son or daughter in my arms and Phil will be the proud dad."
Phil is the son of Pearl's daughter Lynette Bailey — who the pensioner put up for adoption when she was just 18.
When Lynette died, Phil tracked down his long lost gran — 46 years his senior — and they started their strange relationship.
Pearl added: "From the first moment that I saw him, I knew we would never have a grandmother-grandson relationship. For the first time in years I felt sexually alive."
The pair spent their first week together shopping, bowling and eating out. During the second week, giggly on wine after a night out, Pearl decided she wasn't going to deny her feelings anymore.
Pearl said: "I called Phil into my bedroom, sat him on the bed, and then I leant over and kissed him.
"I expected rejection but instead he kissed me back."
Phil said he had the same feelings towards Pearl.
He revealed: "I wanted to kiss her there and then. My feelings were overwhelming.
"I love Pearl with all my heart. I've always been attracted to older women and I think Pearl is gorgeous. Now I'm going to be a dad and I can't wait.
"Yes, we get laughed at and bullied when we go out and kiss in public but we don't care. You can't help who you fall for."
The pair have asked a 30-year-old woman to carry their child.
Pearl said: "I am finally going to be a mum and not forced to give up my child. Phil's going to be a great dad. I never in a million years thought at 72 I'd be 'pregnant' and in love with my grandson.
"I make no apologies and I believe God's given me a second chance."
Pearl says the relationship is not wrong after a friend told her about Genetic Sexual Attraction (GSA), which can occur when close relatives meet as adults, where relations find they are attracted to each other.
She said: "I could now understand my feelings and realise they weren't wrong."
Pearl was 18 when she fell pregnant with daughter Lynette. She was living with her Catholic parents in Indiana and they insisted she give the baby away.
They organised a private adoption and Pearl never saw her baby girl again.
Pearl went on to marry but she never had any more children. Instead she searched for her lost daughter until finally giving up hope 15 years ago.
Phil met Pearl for the first time in 2006 after tracking her down when Lynette died from brain cancer.
