Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho says Real Madrid will become his 'third house' as he prepares to leave Italy after winning the UEFA Champions League.
Mourinho became only the third manager to win the trophy with two different clubs after Diego Milito struck a stunning brace to see off Bayern Munich 2-0 at the Bernabeu, and the Portuguese mastermind admitted it would be his last game for the Italians.
The venue of Saturday's triumph is likely to become his next project having won all the silverware on offer with Serie A side Inter, and Mourinho appeared to be saying his farewells to fans following the victory.
And with Sky Sports News understanding that a deal was agreed in principal on the eve of the final, Mourinho spoke of his sadness at managing his final match with the Nerazzurri.
He told Sky Sports: "(It's) an incredible season. At this moment there is not many words to describe how I feel because I am so happy, so proud. At the same time I am so sad because, almost for sure, (this) is my last game with Inter.
When asked why the Real Madrid job was so appealing, Mourinho responded: "It is the only club that wants me."
Victory over Bayern rounded off a superb season and completed the Treble, and Mourinho revealed success in Spanish football with the Primera Liga giants was the only credential missing from his already impressive CV.
The former Chelsea manager said he would like a return to English shores in the future, where he won six trophies in three years with the Stamford Bridge side before an unexpected exit in 2007.
He went on: "No, I don't have a choice (of clubs). But Real Madrid is Real Madrid. Everyone knows English football is my passion and I go back to England once.
"But I think a big player, a big coach - if you don't go to Real Madrid, or if you don't play for Real Madrid - you have always a little space on your career. So if I decide to come to Real Madrid I will be a very proud man.
