Hurt Locker Producers Sue Illegal Downloaders

The producers of The Hurt Locker are suing up to 5,000 people who have illegally downloaded the Oscar winning film in the US.

Voltage Pictures has filed a lawsuit accusing BitTorrent file-sharers of copyright infringement.
The independent production company will now seek the names of the PC owners from the ISPs.
It has asked the court to order anyone who downloaded the movie to destroy all copies of the film on their computers and from any other electronic device.
Voltage said piracy is "directly contributing" to a decline in the film industry.
Despite winning six Academy Awards, director Kathryn Bigelow's The Hurt Locker was not a huge cinematic success, grossing around $17m (£11.5m) in America.
The film was leaked online six months before its US release date in 2009.
