Dutch police are investigating after a footballer was sacked by Ajax for allegedly pulling a gun on a team-mate while out on loan.
Dutch defender Rene Osei Kofi, 18, had his loan at second-tier club Almere City cancelled last week after a training-ground argument with forward Christian Gandu.
The row between the two players reportedly ended with Kofi going to his car and returning to the locker room with a firearm, which he then put to Gandu's head.
Several stunned Almere players are said to have talked Kofi into lowering the weapon.
Almere immediately cancelled the player's loan, and Ajax terminated the three-year contract he signed with the Amsterdam giants in 2008.
Neither club has confirmed the alleged incident as the reason for Kofi's sacking, although players from both sides have been ordered to remain silent on the issue.
Kofi had made eight appearances for Almere, who are currently second-from-bottom in the Eerste Divisie table with just five points from 13 matches.
MAYBE IT WAS JUST A HAIR-DRYER.
