Read This Before You Eat Iguana on Facebook

Vanessa Starr Palm, 23, and Alexander Daniel Rust, 24, caught an iguana, grilled it, served it to hungry friends and then shared pictures of the activities on their Facebook page, according to Bahamian authorities.

Since iguanas are a protected species, emails flew after the posted photos were discovered and the pair were tracked down and arrested. For their alleged stupidity, they ran afoul of the Fisheries Regulations and the Wild Animal Protection Act and were each served up $500 bail.

And apparently, they could possibly be charged for their BBQ boneheaded behavior under U.S. law too.
