BAFANA BAFANA COULD BE ON THE WAY HOME FROM THE WORLD CUP

SOUTH AFRICA 0 - URUGUAY 3

DIEGO FORLAN left South Africa's World Cup future hanging by a thread tonight.
Forlan struck twice and Alvaro Pereira once to put Uruguay top of Group A. And the Bafana Bafana will now need to beat France in their final game to have any chance of making the knockout stages.
South Africa will feel hard done-by, with both goals owing a lot to fortune.

Forlan's 25-yarder took a deflection before dropping home off the underside of the crossbar.
And his penalty clincher came after Luis Suarez made the most of a very faint touch by keeper Itumeleng Khune in the home goal.
Khune saw red for a 'professional foul' and Forlan was in no mood to let the Bafana Bafana party continue as he hammered the spot-kick into the roof of the net.
The South Americans might have won by more but failed to take their chances.
They had four efforts on goal in the opening 10 minutes, but Forlan failed to make the most of a twice-taken free-kick on the edge of the box while Suarez and Jorge Fucile pulled shots wide of the near post.
