When police stopped a car that had run a red light in Buffalo, New York they heard meowing. When they checked the trunk they found a caged cat marinating in crushed red peppers, chili pepper, salt and oil.
Buffalo Police officers Jerry Guilian and John Poisson stopped Gary Korkuc, 51, on the evening of August 8. After they found the cat Korkuc told them that it had been “mean” to him and he planned to eat it.
Korkuc was charged with passing a stop sign, failure to signal and cruelty to animals.
The black and white cat has already been adopted, and has been renamed Oliver. He went home with a woman who wanted a friend for her other cat.
