CITY BID £50m FOR MOAT

" We heard that everyone was after him , so naturally we put in a bid " said Mancini

Manchester City are rumoured to have made a cheeky bid for Northumbria hard man Raoul Moat . Moat , who is currently on the run from the Northumbrian police force in the north of England " would be an ideal replacement for Joleon Lescott if he were to move on , in fact we'll bid on anyone who's picture is in the paper basically " said Roberto Mancini , " and money is no object "

City have also been linked with LeBron James [formerly of The Cleveland Cavaliers] who became a free-agent at 12:01 A.M. ET on July 1, 2010 . LeBron : Nicknamed "King James", he was a three-time "Mr. Basketball" of Ohio in high school, and was highly promoted in the national media as a future NBA superstar while a sophomore at St. Vincent–St. Mary High School. At just 18, he was selected with the number one pick in the 2003 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers and signed a US$90 million shoe contract with Nike before his professional debut.

They have also made enquiries about Jenson Button and Michael Phelps .
