CHELSEA HEADING FOR AN FA CUP QUADRUPLE

The FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday promises to be another landmark occasion - north v south, red v blue, the aristocrats versus the arrivistes.

Incredibly, it will be the 31st meeting between the clubs in the past eight seasons.
While the rivalry may lack the spite of Liverpool versus Manchester United or the history of the Merseyside derby, familiarity has literally bred contempt over the past decade.

CHELSEA LADIES

Helen Bleazard’s 22nd-minute wonder strike put Matt Beard’s side ahead and Dunia Susi’s header with five minutes remaining ultimately sealed the win against Arsenal to put them into the final, but Chelsea were equally indebted to their young goalkeeper who was deputising for the injured skipper Carly Telford.

Chelsea Ladies will now face Birmingham City, themselves first time Finalists, at Ashton Gate on Saturday 26 May.

CHELSEA YOUTH

Goals from Nathaniel Chalobah, Lewis Baker and a second-half brace from Islam Feruz at Stamford Bridge put the young Blues in control of the tie ahead of the return match at Ewood Park on 9 May.

CHELSEA GIRLS U17

Chelsea Girls U17s have beaten Arsenal 6-5 on penalties to win the FA Youth Cup, after a 1-1 draw at FT, 2-2 After extra time.
