‘Bikes, Blues & BBQ Motorcycle Rally’ a full-throttle success

Fayetteville, AR – Thousands of motorcycle riders revved up their engines and made their way to the largest motorcycle rally in the United States dedicated to providing funding for local charities, and hundreds of thousands attended the event,

Started in 2000, Bikes, Blues & BBQ (BBB) has grown to become “the largest motorcycle rally in the United States benefiting local charities.” People come from all 50 states, and other countries, to attend the event and crowds usually average more than 400,000. Once the numbers are tallied, however, it is expected that the 2010 rally will likely break all previous attendance records.

Thousands of motorcycles of every color, shape and size, along with their riders and hundreds of thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts, arrived in Northwest Arkansas for the 2010 Bikes, Blues & BBQ Motorcycle Rally held September 29 - October 2.

The motorcycle rally also contributes to the local economy. A 2005 study by the University of Arkansas Center for Business and Economic Research estimated that $35 million was expended in the community during the BBB rally week.
